Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adapt daily routines to meet the needs of the individual child and the group
  • Ensuring that all students are supervised at all times
  • Building student self-esteem through positive guidance and nurturing
  • Promote literacy and early childhood education
  • Provide a safe and secure environment where students feel comfortable
  • Provide age-appropriate activities for students, that promote literacy and math concepts

    Essential Duties:

  • Teaches content and skills in Arabic language, literature, composition, reading, and journalism to secondary school students, utilizing a curriculum designated by Dubai Arabian American Private School.
  • Adapts Arabic material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments and lesson plans that guide and challenge students.
  • Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the division’s basic instructional philosophy and congruent with course standards; provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student and subgroups of students.
  • Evaluates the academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards, and keep appropriate records including attendance reports, checklists, census forms, and other recordkeeping activities as necessary.

    We seek enthusiastic educators to join our school community. Applicants must be proficient and have excellent command of the English language, possess a certified teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Education or equivalent. Teachers must have a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience.

    A teacher teaching English language as a subject must have an IELTS Band Score of at least 7 (IELTS “good user”) or equivalent. A teacher using English as the language of instruction must have an IELTS Band Score of at least 6 (IELTS “competent user”) or equivalent.
